課程概述

This course is designed to advance students’ knowledge base of group work
practice and their understanding of the six developmental stages of group
work. Students will engage in in-class group experiences to solidify their
understanding. 

課程目標
 1.To be familiar with the historical developments and theoretical foundations
of group work practice.
2.To understand group dynamics and group leadership.
3.To participate in the six stages of group work.
4.To gain personal insights of group experiences.
 
課程要求
 1.Punctuality, attendance, and active participation are expected.
2.Reflection: Write a reflection (2 pages, single space) to describe your
group experience. This report is due on May 9.
3.Observation report: Write a report (3-5 pages, single space) to describe
your observation of the class as a group. The course content or specific focus
could be used as the framework of the report. This report is due on May 30.
4.Group project: Develop and participate in a 5-session group (stress
management, time management, assertive training, emotion management, etc.) to
experience the six-stage group process. As participants in the group, students
also take turn to be leaders, participants, and observers of the group. The
group presentation needs to synthesize the course content with the analysis of
the group process.
